This is the brand that came up with this iconic Bamboo Tote Bag – Gaia’s Ark. As described, this is a show stopping piece and versatile. It comes in two sizes – Large and Small and in various colors. The most trending one is the shade “Natural’. The small size is priced at $128 and the large one at $138.
Life Begins when you’re at the end of your comfort zone!
It has been a while since I wore a color coordinated outfit and I absolutely love how it turned out. I wore this outfit for brunch with my friends. I wanted to be comfortable and also, feel classy. The crop top is from Primark and I have worn it a few times before. The fabric quality is average.
One thing about Vintage Fashion – it always comes back with a bang. We have seen velvet, gingham and big floral prints emerge again as current design trends. Since I love vintage prints I got this skirt tailor-made. I bought this fabric from the local market in my hometown – Jalandhar (Punjab), India. The fabric is really thick and is not flowy. If you’re into vintage fashion with a modern twist, check out ‘Chicwish’. They have an amazing collection of vintage dresses & skirts, especially in floral and bold prints. Also, Etsy is another platform to look for vintage fabrics/outfits. I have linked down a few of my favorites from Chicwish in the similar prints as my skirt.
Personally, I love wearing skirts but I find them the hardest clothing piece to style. There are so many designs that cater to all the styles and sizes. I always look for the trendiest skirts of the season and I couldn’t miss this one in particular. If you want to experiment, it has to be a skirt with ‘pleats’. If you have a wedding to attend, you can choose shades like blush pink or mint green and if you have a party to go out to at night, wear metallic pleats – This skirt is here to serve the purpose.

I have been wanting to go for a mini Vacation/Staycation at the Cape Cod but the sun has been hiding under the clouds. Even though last Saturday was cloudy and rainy, my husband and I decided to take a road trip to the Cape Cod.
Cape Cod, a hook-shaped peninsula of the U.S. state of Massachusetts, is a popular summertime destination. It’s the site of quaint villages, seafood shacks, lighthouses, ponds and bay and ocean beaches.
It turned out to be pretty great; it was a 2- hour drive from Boston. We directly went to Race Point beach and walked on the beach for 4 miles to the Race Point Light house and back. It was a long, tiring but a beautiful walk on the beach. We spotted a few Sea lions as well and enjoyed the cool breeze. We didn’t go in the water because it was cold that day and the water was freezing. Afterward, we went to Commercial Street to have seafood at a shack; the food was so fresh and delicious. Commercial Street was very fun and different; full of art galleries, souvenirs, gelato, and boutique shops. We strolled around for a while before we headed back to Boston. I would definitely go back to the Cape to explore the other towns on a sunny day. There are so many cute cottages and vacation homes to stay at.
About the look, I wanted to be comfortable for a day trip and yet dress appropriate for an island/beach day. I wore Bardot swing dress from Shein, it was very flowy and light. I love the style and fit of it. Expecting long walks, I wore my converse shoes with the dress. I also carried my denim jacket because the weather was in the 60’s that day. My Denim choker is from Charming Charlie.
Fashion trends come and go every year but ‘Gingham’ is the most viral trend of summer 2017. I don’t follow every trend that is introduced in the market but I couldn’t resist this one. There’s Gingham print in dresses, shorts, tops, and skirts available in hues of red and blue. My suggestion is to experiment with the trends from stores like ‘Shein’ or ‘forever 21’ without breaking the bank. I scored a deal at Shein with this Navy blue and white flattering belted peplum top. I love the color scheme, especially with this bold print. I styled it with white denim and silver accessories for the dinner date.
Life is better at the beach especially when it’s combined with art. This past weekend, for the first time I witnessed the most amazing art at the Annual International Sand Sculpting Festival at Revere Beach. From Spectacular art, music concerts, food trucks, giant wheel, to extravagant Fireworks, there’s something for everyone. The area where the competition is held gets a little crowded but the beach is huge enough to unwind afterward. If you missed the free event this year, you can find all the information at this website to plan for the next year. The beach has street parking and is easily reachable by the T. Below are some of my favorites Sand sculptures that I witnessed on that day.
About the outfit – This beautiful dress with sunset colors is from Zara and has a very relaxed fit. It’s a midi dress and for me it sits a little lower. The fabric is very soft and comfortable on the skin as well. It’s under $30 and I got it in size XS. It’s currently ‘sold out’ but I have linked similar options for your style.
I am so excited to start a new series on my blog – Favorites of the month. I love reading these kinds of posts from other bloggers. I find them very informative and the reviews helpful. Here are my July Favorites :
Perfume – One of my greatest finds of the month is the Narciso Rodriguez “For Her” This perfume has hints of rose and peach pulp, soft amber and wood. This glamorous, sensual, intoxicating fragrance embodies true elegance. It was introduced to me by my sister; I ordered it right away. It is a bit expensive but definitely worth every dollar. I also ordered the “For him” perfume for my husband and I love it on him.
Bag – Adding this beauty Rebecca Minkoff Multi Color Clutch to my bag collection this month – a unique piece for my slowly growing collection that suits my style. This multicolor wonderland clutch is perfect for summer events. I can’t wait to style it for the rest of the summer.
Shoes – After looking for Fuchsia pumps for almost two months, I finally scored a deal at Zara. They always have good heels and beautiful styles in shoes for great prices. I bought them on sale for under $35, the good news is they are on extra discount and are under $20 right now. If this is your style, grab them before they sell out completely. Get them Here.
Makeup – I am not a beauty Guru but I follow many YouTubers to learn the techniques and their reviews on the new makeup products. I have listed three of my favorites for this month – NYX Bright Idea Illuminating Stick (Shade- Rose Petal Pop) Get it here – it’s a combination of blush and highlighter; NYX Away we glow liquid Highlighter (Shade – Moonbeam), it gives a beautiful glow Get it Here ; & Maybelline Instant Age rewind Concealer Get it here.
Lately, my husband and I have been going to the beach almost every day for post dinner walks. We feel much happier seeing people around spending time with their loved ones. Yesterday, we wanted to spend a little extra time at the beach so we packed our dinner and enjoyed it by the water. It was a very lovely evening to be spent outdoors. I am grateful to have little joys in life.
As for the outfit, I wanted to be comfortable and be able to sit for long hours. I wore this beautiful white maxi dress from Shein with the geometric print design. It does have a lining inside so it is not transparent and the material is soft and feels great on the skin. I bought it in size XS and it had a lot of room. The design on the front and the back seemed like an embroidery in the thumbnail but it’s just a geometric print. It was also very long for me as most maxi dresses are. My earrings and Bracelet are both from India. Picnic Blanket in the floral print is from Target Dollar Spot.
This past Sunday our friends hosted a barbecue party at their place and it was so much fun! We discovered a beautiful and tranquil scene on our way to their place. We decided to stop at that picnic area to admire it and click some pictures. The reflection of the clouds and trees in the water gave it a beautiful mirror effect.
About the look – This cute short and sleeveless dress with a low-cut neckline at back, seam at waist, and flared skirt is from HM. This dress is only for $10 and comes in 10 different prints and colors- so many options. I couldn’t pass up this deal so I bought this in white with a blue floral print and another one in black with white polka dots. I usually wear size 2 or XS but I had to size up this dress. My wedges are from Payless Shoe source; very comfortable and reasonable as well. I have linked similar wedges below. My cross-body bag and sunglasses are from Shopper’s Stop (India) but I have linked similar styles available in the US.
Blogging is fun but it is not easy especially when the weather doesn’t support it. It was raining in Boston last week making it a non-ideal situation for the photo shoot. I am still experimenting with my blogging style and I like to explore new locations to see what works the most. It takes a lot of hard work tracking down good locations and coming up with new ideas to share. I found a hidden gem just 2 miles from my place – Wollaston Beach (Yacht clubs).
After being MIA for the past 2 weeks, I am back with more summer fashion ideas. I see summer as an upbeat and cheerful time. I lean towards colorful outfits and bold prints as much as possible before getting into winter grays, black and whites. I found this beautiful halter neck dress with watercolor floral print at Shein. I bought a size ‘S’, it fits well and I like the length of the dress as well. The only downside to this dress is you have to keep pulling it down as you move your arms up. Shein has become one of the favorite online stores for clothes shopping.
I’m also enjoying the ‘end of the summer’ sales as well. Recently, I shopped a lot of stuff from Zara including these amazing Fuchsia/orange high heels. These are definitely one of favorite purchases of the summer. I love the pop of color.
