Product Review – Lee Stafford Original Chopstick Styler

Welcome to the 80’s!!

Yes, I am going to take you back to the 80’s with the LEE STAFFORD original Chopstick Styler. It has to be one of my favorite hair tools ever. I have naturally straight hair and I like to experiment with them a lot. I am a big fan of curls, hence I have so many curling wands – different sizes but this has got to be number one on my list.

This product is by Lee Stafford (http://www.leestaffordelectricals.com/curling-wands-c25/the-original-chopstick-styler-curling-wand-p26) and is available in the UK/US.

I bought it from Amazon (Lee Stafford Original Chopstick Styler ) since I needed the US plug.

  • Fast heat up time up to 450°F.
  • Exclusive free heat protection glove

  • US Power Plug

Here’s my take on the product-

Packaging

Packaging was very nice and sturdy. It came in perfectly good condition, the product includes a chopstick styler, a glove and instructions on how to use. Below is what I received except for Dry Shampoo.

Product review –

I came across a YouTube tutorial on this and I decided to give it a try. I used this styler to curl my hair at my recent trip to Vegas, I received numerous compliments from complete strangers and it made me so happy. The curls look very natural and they stay for a very long time. I am very impressed with the quality of this product and it’s a bonus that it only costs $25 on Amazon.

I did the curls the morning of my flight to Vegas and I used the “strong hold” spray (Garnier) and heat protection serum (Nume Argan oil) for long lasting effect. I have thick hair and it took me approx. 45 mins to 1 hour. It also depends on the sections of the hair that you take. I took really thin sections for tighter curls. I kept the tight curls for 2 days and then I opened the curls with a wide tooth comb for a softer look and kept them for 2 days. I used the Batiste Tropical dry shampoo to keep my hair fresh and smelling good.

Day 1 – Tight curls

Day 2 –

Day 3 – Loose/softer curls

Day 4 – Softer Curls

I am enjoying these curls and extremely happy to own this product.

It is also available in India on Amazon.in but it is very expensive comparative to UK/US.

But don’t be disappointed. I have found a similar curling wand for little less price and it’s available on Nykaa. It is from the brand called “Corioliss”.

Las Vegas – Outfits of the week

I just spent a fun and warm week in Vegas, just strolling at the Las Vegas strip, exploring so many different themed casinos, pool parties and what not. It’s so fascinating that a desert area is converted into the entertainment capital of the world. I can do a separate post about “travel” part of Vegas but this post is exclusive to Fashion and styling ideas. I wanted to share the outfits I wore while I was there.

Outfit 1- The classic airport look

This is my go-to airport look, and it doesn’t take any effort to pull this off. You just need a comfy top and leggings – just basics from your existing wardrobe. I usually carry a jacket with me because I feel cold in the plane and it works for the colder evenings. Don’t forget walking shoes- it is a must for the trip.

Leather Jacket – I bought this Jacket last fall and loving it ever since. It’s from Urban Outfitters (Sold out, similar – Here).

Slouchy white top – The top is from Primark, just something I picked up recently. You cannot have too many white tops.

Pants/leggings– My pants/leggings are from Zara (Here), I have had them since 4 years now and they are not worn off yet. I love the thickness of the leggings/pants and they are very much comfortable.

Shoes– I bought them from DSW because it’s one stop shop for shoes. But you can also buy them online from the Converse website. Converse (Here)

Outfit 2 – Strolling around the strip and casinos

This outfit was my favorite from the trip. I loved everything about it – The feel of this fabric, it was airy, off the shoulder, and perfect spring Marigold color. I also experimented it with wearing a corset belt and it just changed the whole look of it. I loved how it looked.

Yellow Off the shoulder Swing Dress – I picked this dress up in the store, honestly I wasn’t sure at first but when I tried it on, I couldn’t let it go.  It’s from forever 21- Here

Wide elastic corset Belt – I ordered this Asos (Here ) belt online just before this trip, I was really excited to style this. I love how it cinches your waist. It does get uncomfortable if you wear it for long.

Backpack – Kate Spade (Sold out, Similar Here )

Yellow thong sandals – Bought these from Primark Here. Just to add to my wardrobe and it matched perfectly with the dress.

Outfit 3 – Most fun outfit- very summery

Top – I bought this really cute, Pineapple print, scoop neck crop top from Primark. They had so many colors and different prints in them. It was very comfortable. I can’t find them on Primark website but it’s available in stores. Similar (here).

Shorts – These shorts are from Primark too, these are distressed denim high-waist shorts. Again, I can’t find them on the website but these are available in stores. Similar linked (Here)

Outfit 4 – Watching a show at Bellagio – Cirque du Soleil

Maxi Dress – I have been wanting to buy something from “Who what wear” collection at Target stores. I finally found this casual and classy Knit Skater Maxi Dress (Here). I styled them with red pumps and wore it to the show at Bellagio in the night. It was perfect for the occasion.

Red suede pumps – I adore these pumps from Charlotte Russe, sold out (similar Here). I bought them for Valentine’s Day but they work great all year round.

Outfit 5 – Heading to pool party

Navy shift dress– The attire for pool party was Swim wear only, I forgot to carry my cover-up for Bikini so I just wore this shift dress from Charlotte Russe, Sold out – Similar (Here, Here). It was nice and flowy. But it does make a cool summer outfit for a casual day.

Straw Hat – Now this was also a special purchase for me, I so wanted to buy a straw hat with some slogan on it. I found just perfect Hat before my trip. It says “Vacay”, how cool is that! It is from Asos – sold out (Here , similar Here )

Navy shift dress- Charlotte Russe, Sold out – Similar (Here, Here)

Straw Hat – Asos – sold out (Here , similar Here )

Outfit 6 –  Exploring the place

Bardot Top – I recently bought a lot of crop tops from Primark, they were all priced from $4-$6. Yes, it’s hard to believe. The quality is average but everything is really trendy. I couldn’t find this print online but   similar options are here.

High Waist shorts – These shorts are from Primark too, everything at Primark is priced low. They are distressed denim high-waist shorts. Again, I can’t find them on the website but these are available in stores. Similar linked (Here)

Outfit 7 – Post pool party outfit

Scoop neck Red crop top – This one is similar to the one above in Pineapple print. It’s from Primark and I love the pop of color.

Denim skirt– This frayed denim skirt was a steal because I bought this in winter sale and it costed me only $7. It’s from H&M and I love the fit of it.  This was is sold out but similar Here.

Outfit 8 – Classic stripes

Black striped cami dress – This is the most casual and comfortable outfit for warmer weather. I wore this the day we arrived in Vegas after a 7 hour flight. This one is from Primark and I have already worn this thrice since then.
